Good Vibrations

Everything has a vibration.  Even though we cannot see the amazing vibration of the energy all around us, we certainly can sense it.

In fact your very vibration enters a room and even answers the phone before you say, “hello.”  This may sound confusing, but it isn’t.  The vibration of who you are and how you are feeling at any moment is reverberating from your core.  You may try to mask it (times when you are down), but often the people around you recognize it.  It reminds me of Pigpen, a character in the old Charlie Brown cartoons.  He always was surrounded by, followed and seemingly preceded by a cloud of dust.  You could see him coming.

It is the same with our vibration.  When you are happy and positive and feeling good about life, your vibration operates at a higher frequency then the times when you are ill or feeling down in the dumps.

The Law of Vibration states anything existing in our universe, whether seen or unseen, consists of pure energy or light which resonates and exists as a vibratory frequency or pattern.

How cool is that?  Everything is vibrating!  Okay, so what? Well, you are a contributor to this vibration.  When good things happen and people rejoice we are raising the vibration and energy around us.  And every time we raise the vibration it creates a ripple effect.  Just like tossing a rock into a pond the water ripples outward; the same is true as your vibration is rippling outward as well.

So think about it.  What would happen if everyday we all made an effort to be grateful, to celebrate success - - whether it is our own personal success or that of another?  And each time we do this, we adjust our attitude and continued outlook creating an increase in the overall vibration.  And when this happens, the more there is - - the more there is! We are attracting Good.
I am not talking about the relief that may take place when something bad happens to someone we perceive to be wicked or evil.  This type of rejoicing or celebration does not impact your vibration in a positive way.  I am talking about the collective joy and gratitude for the good of all mankind; whether it is your good, personally, or it is the success and good bestowed on someone else.

Every time we cheer one another on to greatness and success – we literally raise the vibration of energy around planet earth.  And as we do this, we raise the vibration to a higher level - - and it is at this level we all begin to soar.

It is in this space we are more intuitive, more creative, abundant, clear and successful.  This week will offer many opportunities to “tune in” with “good vibrations.”  It is your choice to choose the good ones!

FOREVER YOUNG

When we lose someone from this life plane we are left to handle our memories and regrets in very intimate ways.  And when the loved one is young, we find ourselves crying out in protest over the injustice of it all.

In our human desires we want our children and friends to grow old, have children, grandchildren and age right along with us.  Somehow we believe this is how life is supposed to be and anything outside of our “norm” is unacceptable.

Handling the pain of loss and dealing with grief is challenging for all of us.  It is an individual process and does not impact two people quite the same way.  Most certainly, there are the steps of grieving that one experiences over time, but I am talking about the experience of our personal loss and how we cope.

During this time, our language may not include words others would prefer to hear.  We may behave in ways that seem unlike us as we struggle with the loss and the pain.  And unfortunately, we may even lash out at those we love, trying to make sense of it all.

This I know for sure; life is everlasting.  The very part of you that cannot be seen or touched – lives on forever.  You move on at some point.  Your being transitions to another reality, leaving this one behind. You existed before you became the physical being you are today.  Your soul entered your tiny body at birth as your spirit transitioned from some other reality into this one.  The same takes place when we leave here.  No one ceases to exist, life is eternal.

Yet for those of us left behind there is such deep sorrow and regret.  And when one leaves us at a youthful age, there is a huge alteration to the plans we may have had.  Too often we go through the steps of living life with plans of the future.  We get caught up in the idea of “tomorrow”, “next time” or “later”.  But life keeps teaching us to live in the moment and stop projecting into the future.  Life demonstrates every day that we only have the now and there is no guarantee what tomorrow may hold.

We can learn to live in the now, appreciate our loved ones – now.  We can stop waiting, and projecting into the future and live today as if it is the last day we have on this planet. As if this is the last time we will hug those we love and look into their eyes.

And as we reach out to one another in loving kindness we will find that forgiveness comes easier and acceptance becomes the mainstay of life.  Because when we love to the fullest, unconditionally, and live in the now there is no longer regret and anger over the past.  It is gone, it is done and we can release it.

And for all the loved ones who have gone on to another plane - - today is a good day to remember the love, the laugher and the light they brought into our lives.  Today is good day to celebrate and to acknowledge the fact that they are not gone, just gone from here.

Oh for the love of Mom

We all have had the influence of a mother in our lives at one time or another.  Quite possibly this influence wasn’t even a relative, but perhaps someone who took time to love and nurture you.

On Sunday, May 8th many individuals will pay respect to Moms all over the world - - some who are still with us and some who have transitioned from this life experience.  Billions of flowers will be delivered along with many gifts and cards expressing our love.

May this time, this day, this special holiday be an opportunity for each of us to recognize the love and sacrifice that was made on our behalf.  Regardless of the relationship you currently have with your mother, you must know there were times when she made choices you will never understand.

Many of us became mothers without any formal education on the subject.  As a result, we made mistakes.  We lost our children in department stores and we failed to keep them safe from childhood illness and broken bones. We tried to protect them from playground bullies and instill in them values of how to live their lives.

Sometimes our choices seemed weak and poorly thought out and children suffered.  It could have been finding a new home for the family pet to moving across the country in search of a better way of life.  Whatever has taken place with you in the lead role of parent or the confusing memories of your childhood - - today, this week, is a great time to embrace the joy and the love and let the rest go.

Life on planet earth is too short.  It is not meant for us to harbor regret, pain, anger and disappointment.  Our lives can be rich and fulfilling when we learn to take responsibility for our circumstances and forgive everything and everyone who ever wronged us.

When you consider at one time in your life, you very possibly, were put into the care of two (or maybe just one) very young individuals who through trial and error learned how to clothe you, feed you and care for you.   You were entrusted into their care and heaven help us all, we survived and in most cases, so did they!

Mothers Day is a day of blessing, love and laughter.  You can take time this week to remember all the Moms who have floated through your life and offer a prayer of thanks.  You can embrace the good memories and let go of any old hurt or sorrow and know your life has unfolded as though each step was part of some grand design.  And your mother has been the angel who volunteered to play a significant part in your health, well-being and development.  Take time to give thanks, for without her, you would not be here today.  That is something to be grateful for, don’t you think?

Angels Among Us

Every minute of every day, someone reaches out a hand to another.  An angel, if you will, touches your hand and lifts you from the throes of despair, pain, fear or insecurity.  It doesn’t take much on the part of the giver and the interaction may last only a few seconds, yet the results can be life altering.

Each one of us has been touched by the selfless behavior of another.  You have suffered, we all have.  There are those days when you may feel lost and seem to have misplaced your positive outlook and balance.  There can be an underlying cause or it can simply seem to be an “off” day.  What do you do and where do you turn?  Maybe you seek solace within and withdraw into the world you believe you can control.  Perhaps you reach for a good book or a movie and allow yourself to be entertained in hopes the feelings will pass in time.  Possibly you turn to prayer seeking a shift in your outlook on life.

Whatever you do, your situation is very real.  In this moment, right here and now, you are experiencing a life challenge.  You come to the realization that you don’t know what to do or where to turn.

What happens next is usually based on our habits and patterns.  There is no wrong next step - - it is simply the choices we make of what to do.  Pulling the blanket up over your head may serve for now, but sooner or later you have to get out of bed.  Depending on what is impacting you and your outlook on life, you may begin to experience fear.  This can feel like a tiny ripple up and down your spine.  Or it can feel so intense you may realize the idea of tomorrow or the next day is too much to consider as fear clutches your heart. What you need in this instant is hope, connection and compassion.

What often shows up in our lives, in times of despair, are the amazing people on this planet who have chosen in a single moment to wear the guise of an angel and step in and help. Whether you reach out, or someone magically reaches out to you, is not important.  What is important is that there is love, understanding, support and encouragement for every one of us.

It is in that critical moment the telephone rings, or a greeting card arrives in the mail, or an email, text message - - some one attempting to connect and remind us we are not alone. And this single event may be all we need to regain our strength and perspective on life.

These amazing angels I am referring to are people, just like you and me. They go to work, cook meals, wash dishes (or put them in the dishwasher), pay bills, have relationships and simply live life.  And in an instant of everyday activity they stop and pick up the phone.  Each one of us has done this for another - - just responding to a tiny intuitive nudge and we become an angel in the life of someone in need.

The connection you make with another human being may seem insignificant for you - - but the ripple effect is like a tidal wave in the life and heart of the one you are serving. Take a moment this week and consider the angels who have arrived mysteriously in your life  and be grateful  Then take a few more minutes to reflect on all the times you have been an angel with perfect timing who simply showed up when someone needed you most.

Each one of us is important, valuable and treasured.  Every act of kindness is building a better world.  No act of love, compassion or service is trivial.  We must live each day holding nothing back. Freely give a smile, a hug, a phone call, a dollar - - as each of us is inspired.

This week you will have countless opportunities to recognize the amazing angels in your life.  As you give thanks for each of them, include all the acts of selfless love you have demonstrated to others.  And be grateful - we are all here for each other.
